How do I find primary sources?
Answer
You can find many primary source material in books in the library and online in our Primary Source Databases.
Find them by searching in the library catalog using certain keywords or phrases like diary, letter, interview, speech, pamphlet, correspondence, personal narrative, etc.
Utilize Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) with additional keywords like the time period, group or people, or specific person's name you are interested in researching.
For example:
(diary OR letter) AND (native american OR indian) AND early nineteenth century
